  • Perusing a blog on liberalism versus conservatism was quite interesting this morning. One of the comments was on so called Liberal tollerance and conservative censorship. There was another comment talking about grace and kindness mixed with policy. Scripture tells us not to give unwillingly or under compulsion for God loves a cheerful giver. Redistribution since it is forced and not out of love is not a Christian tenet but that of another religion, a religion of the state.

  • In discussion today about the power of the president in the US. Some fellow coworkers were lamenting the lack of power the president has for good. It made me wonder if they realize how blessed we are that we have governments limited by the principles of our fathers. Considering how much the current administration has been able to do against the will of the people this seems to be fairly obvious even if one agreed with his agenda.

  • Connected

    Youtube and facebook-

    The new internet  tv.

    We are too connected

    I think you’d agree

    Those little conveniences

    For which coworkers call

    Nuisances to those off-

    Who can’t escape them all

    Those irksome questions

    Time used to dissipate

    Our bosses converge

    Our juniors irritate

  • Wounded Tiger
    Down on the ground-
    Behind bars of a cage
    Poor little animal,
    Oh so full of rage.
    Wounded tiger

    Watch out for her-
    She has not changed.
    Stripes still beguile,
    Her Heart is still base.
    Wounded tiger

    Poor little tiger-
    Limping and quiet.
    One paw is broken,
    Can she still strike?
    Wounded tiger

    Poor misguided victim-
    Torn all to shreds.
    Pity for a monster-
    Replaced founded dread.

  • Heat

    The face in the fire-

    Friends of the past.

    An unbroken spirit,

    A  withering blast.

    Turn up the heat-

Or get out of the oven.

    What are the rules-

    By which we are governed?

    The smoke curls high-

    Is the silver quite pure?

    The smoke rises-

    The pictures a blur .

  • Fanatics View

    What is a fanatic

    But one who is sure

    What is devotion

    But one that is pure

    What is desire

    But a consuming passion

    Fanatic

    What is a warrior

    But one disciplined

    What is a master

But wants not all of men

    What is laser like focus

    Bust trust and surrender

    Fanatic

    What is ones purpose

    If  not to compete

    With many mistresses

    None are complete

    What is Love

    No looking back

    Fanatic

  • Turbulent waters

    Turbulent waters

    A Tropical breeze

    Sweet scented flowers

    A chilling North East

    Winds untamed fury

    The rushing of streams

    The deeps gentle caress

    The swaying of trees

    Turbulent waters

    Wild, tame, or free

    The skies many woders

And the kiss of the seas

    What men call peace

Two tiny hills stand there by the lake

Two flowing rivers pass in their wake

The blue sky above and meadows beneath

A picture unbroken of what men call peace

What men call peace is no illusion

Yet is only reached -beyond the confusion

The water it rushes, and green grass sways

The waters of rivers, and trees glowing shade

Then in the city a sleeping babes crib

Unaware of the noise all around him

This gentle spirit- quiet and secure

He rests in a love of which he is sure

  • The night the angels cried

    The light was dim

    The screech was heard

    A child was lost

    A mother cursed

    The night the angels cried

God was blamed but he was there

He was the one- in soft nights air

    Though He was cast aside-

He was blameless in this affair

    The night the Angels cried

A lost child and sight thus taken,

    Would you have stood unshaken?

    When demons laughed

    And a mother wakened

    The night the angels cried

  • The difference

I saw a post about Premarital sex and asking the question what difference does a ring and a piece of paper really make.

This should be evident even to those who are not Christians or of similar faith. The marriage cements the relationship where as those just living together have somewhere not fully commited.

    2. Those in a "loving relationship" may not really have that much love as they could not control themselves for a little while. Will they be able to trust themselves in the future?

3, Finally it shows how little value people place on their own bodies. They degrade that which is made in the image of God.

None of this denies the pleasure of it or the trouble it is to be pure. This is simply the truth that many people don't want to face because it puts them at odds with God. And while many people would like to Achnowledge God's grace in Christ they refuse his Lordship.

    Please excuse me

Dancing to a tune men want to heed

Tapping their heels to avarice and greed

He’se told them he’s taking them to hell

    Please excuse me

It’s plainly written in fiery detail

Ghost as witness and demonic wails

Stamping their feet in deadly chant

    Thralls of this commotrion dance

    Please excuse me

The pale lights glittering so dim

Hearing the powers singing to them

Going to hell and they don’t care

But for me the exit stair

    Please excuse me
