  • Illegal?

Sometimes I drive my coworkers crazy when I do not use a  crosswalk against a light when there is no traffic. So today my fellow worker was telling me that I was basically too prone to rules and I told him yes except when the rules are illegal. He immediately assumed I meant the Supreme courts biased and very unprofessional Gay  activist endorsement. He asked if I meant against God and yes ultimately that is what I meant.

One of the biggest overreaches is of course the enforcement of the teaching of the faith of evolution in schools. There is just as many questions if not more than in the belief in Christ.

At a lower level many laws contradict the Constitution which is in itself the law of our land . In recent history has had  activist courts, the executive branch, and congress all instigated illegal laws if you will.  This does not of course necessarily warrant immediate disobedience, but what it does warrant is a firm education of why we obey and what our laws are.

How do you regard law and authority in general? Is it only fear of punishment or do you subject yourself for a higher reason. If you were not a Christian what is that? Where does natural law and human law come into play for you?

What good is both sides of the story when one side lies?

  • Kitten

Smitten was a kitten of dangerous breed

Sharp pointed claws and white fluffy feet

Heart tugging meow and silky black fur

Wide innocent eyes and motors smooth purr

Smitten was a kitten destined to grow

From the small fur ball that I had known.

Into a cat; a cunning huntress and queen

Roaming my heart ;disturbing my dreams

  • What defines your Christianity?

In the early church that is shortly after Jesus rose from the dead his apostles still lived there were many questions from theological conundrums to political realities. This continued on to the time of the early church Fathers when the Holy spirit moved on a large number of apologist to help define what Christianity and loyalty to Jesus meant.

Today we are in the same boat in America. Many claim to be Christians but is there evidence in their lives? People are willing to sue at the drop of a hat; ignore laws and try to legislate morality. Others say that a woman’s right to chose enables murder and as for marriage horror of horrors if you are a polygamist but trying out a relationship is perfectly acceptable.

Most people are willing that Jesus should be Savior but very few accept him as Lord. Men who are still out for the almighty dollar what it represents or are in all likelihood not sons of the Father. Obviously even children go through rebellious times, but if our carnal nature is allowed to rule we are in serious danger of the fires of hell.

Christians are called to be a people apart. If you are a Christian you should be different than your neighbors. This does not mean you should be either in prosperity or pain but as a child of the King of Heaven you should have the Spirits mark.

This distinction is not a question of laws, self denial or discipline but rather it is a question of a changed life. The thing everyone should be asking themselves is not what they do or approve of, but is the Savior of scripture truly the king of their heart.
