Are they family
The door it shuts the space is quiet:
Inside the heart there is a riot.
Pent frustration and tired woes:
Feelings unmanly to show
Are they family?
History has hardened life
Once carefree now trapped inside
It matters not these temporal thoughts
What matters most cannot be bought
Are they family?
Is it convenience and a power thing;
Or is it more to which he clings?
Bitterness – yet joys hidden well
Now I ask of you please to tell,
Are they family?
