  • Not always a good thing

You know diversity can be a goodthing it is easy to agree with this from liberal or conservative viewpoint butthe fact that so many people focus on it is not a good thing.

    1. Diversity of opinion andbackground – cool

Diversity of ethics because of lackof morality uncool

    2. Diversity of cultures – cool

Contempt for the overall culture, such as the unique American culture uncool

    3. Rich history of contributers to the Countries identity - Cool

Diversity training and affirmative action uncool – I don’tbelieve in telling groups they are require special attention to get ahead

Diversity – a liberal code word for the deviant or and underclass of victims

  • I was listening to a  pastor advise people who called in to a show today and I heard him advise a woman to be careful about getting into a relationship with a none Christian woman as this was very dangerous. You would think that if the pastor truly cared about the woman he would try to help her overcome the sin of the unnatural desires in her own life first. Had this advice been about a man it would have been correct.  Such advice or absence thereof made me wonder is this pastor truly saved and does he know the true risen Lord?

Under such circumstances I believe there are a limitted number of answers: he could be seriously ill informed Christian, A misguided Christian who satan has skewed his priorities, a Christian with sin in his own life, or a charlatan.

  • Many on xanga even Christians say their is a great hypocrisy among believers. I don’t believe this. We are redeemed sinners, who still struggle with the flesh; but too many who do not acknowledge Jesus as Lord and Savior still claim the title. In onther words there are many pseudo Christians in almost every denomination. Being a Catholic, Protestant or whatever does not make one a Christian relationship with, illustrated by submission to does. This is illustrated perfectly in an old Imperials song called O Buddha.

  • The Bible is on my side?

I saw a paper the other  which made fun of politicians because  many seem to have no problem invoking Jesus regardless of their philosophy.  This is one of those insidious moral equivalence ideas which must be destroyed.

There are some issues you  could very well come down on both sides. However If you are a true Christian you can’t allow laws that promote sexual immorality, perversion, or unnatural relations. Neither could you support  the state supporting murder and infanticide.

Jesus condemned very few things outright because God is merciful and in our relationship with him we need to follow  in love. Nevertheless when things are evil they should be called as such. People can be accepted without tolerating those things they are in bondage to.

  • Thought from reading Matthew 9 and 10

You often hear none Christians and Christians point to passages where evildoers were accepted by the church and this is true no one seeking isever turned away regardless of current or past station. But when Jesus and others associated with sinners it appears only in the context of seeking to win them over.  That is they were seekinghim. In no way did he condone their current status or allow their lifestyleinto his followers. Grace is imperative as we are all worthy of hell however itseems that the church of today is too interested in being politic. If a churchtruly glorifies God, while its members will go out they will not have tobecause God will draw men to the church.

Another misconception about Christ is his peacefull nature.Yes we are radical in our love of enemies he also states plainly that he comes to bring division. Indeed later on in ministry Jesus made it plain he came oncefor redemption and is coming again in judement. If you read Revelation you seeboth the culmination of the grace of God as a redeemer and the righteous wrathof  a warrior and conqueror.

  • The early disciples did not debate the resurrection of Christ merely its impact. Based on history this is how Christ should be looked at. His deity is either believed or not but the historical documentation is there which backs it up more than many other accepted pieces.

This does not mean Christians do not seek the truth in history, philosophy, and science but they should not fall into the trap of arguing with individuals who either have a vested interest in there discredit or those with no moral chore.

One reason Christians are condemed justly or not is because those condemning them can not face their own Consciences or guilt.

    Romans 5:6-8 NIV

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

  • It was commented on an earlier post that evolution is not a theory of beginnings, but of change and that it is compatible with Christianity. Even if this were true, macro evolution teaches the ultimate good of man as he evolves. Scripture teaches our utter depravity and need for a savior.

Those who love their  sins more than their souls try to “interpret ” scriptures, science, and history. Now there are things that I struggle with  but my difficulty does not change their veracity. This is why we need the lamb as without our substitute we are all guilty. Unfortunately this also means many are doomed for eternal pain and this can be very hard to accept.

    Isaiah 53:5-6.

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.”

  • Universe of available jobs goes down and unemployment ratio goes lower. This makes media rejoice. Now that is logic.

  • I was looking at a profile and I noticed it stated Catholic and yet the individual also commented elsewhere that she was an atheist. How can this be. I understand Christianity and I understand Atheism. However these two systems are incompatible.

    1. If you believe Jesus is God in the biblical sense you believe he is eternal- that is He did not evolve.

    2. Atheism believes in survival of the fittest and that man is steadily becoming more advanced where Christianity acknowledges the total depravity of man and his need for Christ.

This demonstrates that just like conservative principles and far more important people must share scripture and make sure people understand what faith in Christ is and is not.

  • Election

It is predictable that when liberals get near to elections they sound more conservative. I note that in the story this morning about the Presidents tax cut plan it would not likely happen till after. In other words not likely to happen at all. I am sure though as a former president said he never worked harder on anything in his life.
