  • What defines your Christianity?

In the early church that is shortly after Jesus rose from the dead his apostles still lived there were many questions from theological conundrums to political realities. This continued on to the time of the early church Fathers when the Holy spirit moved on a large number of apologist to help define what Christianity and loyalty to Jesus meant.

Today we are in the same boat in America. Many claim to be Christians but is there evidence in their lives? People are willing to sue at the drop of a hat; ignore laws and try to legislate morality. Others say that a woman’s right to chose enables murder and as for marriage horror of horrors if you are a polygamist but trying out a relationship is perfectly acceptable.

Most people are willing that Jesus should be Savior but very few accept him as Lord. Men who are still out for the almighty dollar what it represents or are in all likelihood not sons of the Father. Obviously even children go through rebellious times, but if our carnal nature is allowed to rule we are in serious danger of the fires of hell.

Christians are called to be a people apart. If you are a Christian you should be different than your neighbors. This does not mean you should be either in prosperity or pain but as a child of the King of Heaven you should have the Spirits mark.

This distinction is not a question of laws, self denial or discipline but rather it is a question of a changed life. The thing everyone should be asking themselves is not what they do or approve of, but is the Savior of scripture truly the king of their heart.
