An easy question.
I heard a lady on a talk show today say she would like to hear how the canidates As a very fallable human I and could never say for certain but I would bet the national debt one isn’t and neither is the other. Obama openly supports what the Bible labels as unnatural and supports many issues which a true Christian would have a very tough time with. While I respect Romney a great deal the answer for him too would have to be no because of the beliefs about Jesus generally held by Mormons.
Now someone not being a Christian does not mean I would not vote for them. It simply means I recognize the truth and have one more tool for judging character.

Jesus never mentioned homosexuality anywhere in any of his teachings. And to claim obama is not a real christian for not following the old testament teachings about it is just as valid as saying you’re not a real christian because you don’t follow it either. Or are you actively promoting making homosexuality punishable by death like leviticus commands? And calling for the killing of witches and bringing back slavery as sanctioned in the book of exodus?
It’s not that obama isn’t a “true christian”, it’s that nobody is. And most christians don’t know enough about the bible to realize this.
@agnophilo - Paul specifically mentions it. The old Testament regulation is no longer valid as is pointed out in scripture. Being a real Christian is also based on more than that single issue thought that is a very telling sign. Since you do not accept the authority of Christ or scripture how can you debate?
@New1E13_15 - “Paul specifically mentions it.”
Paul never even met jesus, he just showed up after he died and contradicted him a lot. Do you follow christianity or paulianity? And if thinking gays should have equal rights even though they’re going against the teachings of paul makes one not a real christian, then are you not a real christian because you aren’t trying to take away the rights of women who pray without first covering their heads as commanded in 1 corinthians 11:5? They’re not following paul’s teachings either, lets make sure they can’t be covered on their spouse’s insurance or inherit property or be buried next to their loved ones!
“The old Testament regulation is no longer valid as is pointed out in scripture.”
And it will never change until the end of heaven and earth as pointed out in scripture… by jesus. Scripture says a lot of things, often the exact opposite of something else scripture says.
“Being a real Christian is also based on more than that single issue thought that is a very telling sign.”
I know enough about scripture to know that ALL christians selectively ignore what the bible says.
“Since you do not accept the authority of Christ or scripture how can you debate?”
I can assume something I personally don’t believe for the sake of argument.
